Standards
Effective Date: March 2026
This Pet Care Safety & Welfare Standards document (“Standards”) establishes the minimum
safety, welfare, and operational expectations for all pet care services arranged through the
TiriVelo platform.
These Standards apply to all Pet Care Providers (“Providers”) and Pet Owners (“Owners”)
using TiriVelo.
These Standards are incorporated by reference into the TiriVelo Terms of Service , Provider
Agreement , and Payments, Cancellations & Payouts Policy .
Failure to comply with these Standards may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent
removal from the platform.

1. Purpose & Safety Commitment
TiriVelo is committed to promoting responsible pet care practices and maintaining a platform
environment that prioritizes the safety, health, and welfare of animals and users .
These Standards are intended to:
●​ Promote humane treatment of animals
●​ Establish minimum safety practices for Providers
●​ Clarify Owner responsibilities
●​ Provide guidance for handling emergencies
●​ Support investigation and dispute resolution
●​ Protect the integrity of the TiriVelo platform
TiriVelo provides tools and guidelines to support safe services but does not supervise
in-person care and does not guarantee the conduct of independent Providers.
2. General Animal Welfare Principles
All Providers must adhere to the following core animal welfare principles:
Animals must be treated with respect, care, and humane handling at all times.
Providers must not:
●​ Use physical punishment
●​ Use intimidation or excessive force
●​ Use unsafe equipment
●​ Engage in neglectful behavior
●​ Leave pets unattended in unsafe conditions
Providers must make reasonable efforts to ensure animals are:
●​ Properly supervised
●​ Protected from environmental hazards
●​ Handled safely in public areas
●​ Returned safely to the Owner or designated location
Providers must immediately discontinue any service activity that poses a risk of injury to the
pet, the Provider, or the public .
3. Pet Owner Responsibilities
Pet Owners must provide accurate and complete information regarding their pets.
Owners must disclose:
●​ Known behavioral issues
●​ Aggression history
●​ Medical conditions
●​ Medication requirements
●​ Allergies
●​ Special handling instructions
Owners must ensure that pets are:
●​ Healthy enough to receive services
●​ Properly vaccinated where required by law
●​ Legally permitted to be handled in public spaces
Owners are responsible for:
●​ providing safe access to the service location
●​ supplying necessary equipment (leash, harness, etc.)
●​ providing emergency contact information
Failure to disclose relevant pet behavior or health information may affect eligibility for refunds or
dispute outcomes.
4. Provider Safety Responsibilities
Providers must exercise reasonable professional judgment when caring for animals.
Providers must:
●​ follow Owner care instructions when reasonable
●​ ensure proper leash control during walks
●​ maintain safe distance from traffic and hazards
●​ avoid overcrowded or unsafe environments
●​ supervise pets during active service periods
Providers must refuse or discontinue services if they reasonably believe a pet presents an
unmanageable safety risk .
Providers must not:
●​ transport pets without Owner permission
●​ allow off-leash activity where unsafe or prohibited
●​ leave pets unattended in vehicles
●​ expose pets to extreme weather conditions
4A. Pet Identification & Ownership
Pet Owners must ensure that pets receiving services through TiriVelo are lawfully owned or
under their authorized care.
Owners must not request services for animals they do not have legal authority to manage.
Where applicable, pets should wear identification tags or collars during services.
TiriVelo may request verification of ownership or vaccination documentation where safety
concerns arise.
4B. Aggressive or Dangerous Animals
Pets with a history of aggression, biting, or dangerous behavior must be clearly disclosed by the
Pet Owner.
Providers have the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet presents a reasonable safety
risk.
TiriVelo may restrict or prohibit services for animals that:
●​ have a documented history of aggression​
●​ pose a risk to public safety​
●​ violate local animal control laws​
Failure to disclose aggressive behavior may result in account suspension or removal.
4C. Handling Multiple Animals
Providers must use reasonable judgment when handling multiple animals simultaneously.
Providers must not accept service requests that exceed their ability to safely control the animals
involved.
TiriVelo may establish limits on the number of animals that may be handled during a single
service.
Providers remain responsible for maintaining safe control of all animals under their supervision.
4D. Pet Transportation
Pets may only be transported during a service if:
●​ the Pet Owner has provided explicit permission​
●​ the pet can be transported safely​
●​ the vehicle environment is safe for the animal​
Pets must not be transported in unsafe conditions including:
●​ unrestrained vehicle travel​
●​ unsafe weather conditions​
●​ environments that may cause distress or injury​
Providers are responsible for ensuring safe transport if transportation is agreed upon.
4E. Medication Administration
Providers may administer medication only when:
●​ explicitly authorized by the Pet Owner​
●​ clear instructions have been provided​
●​ the Provider reasonably believes it is safe to do so​
Providers are not required to administer medication and may decline services involving complex
medical care.
TiriVelo does not supervise medication administration and assumes no responsibility for medical
outcomes.
4F. Home Access & Property Safety
Some services may require Providers to access the Pet Owner’s residence.
Pet Owners are responsible for ensuring:
●​ safe and lawful access arrangements​
●​ clear instructions regarding entry and exit​
●​ safe conditions inside the residence​
Providers must respect the privacy and property of Pet Owners and must not access areas
unrelated to the service.
TiriVelo is not responsible for property disputes between users.
4G. Public & Third-Party Interaction
Providers must take reasonable steps to prevent pets from causing harm to:
●​ other animals​
●​ members of the public​
●​ other service providers​
●​ children or vulnerable individuals​
Providers must avoid situations that may reasonably lead to confrontation or unsafe
interactions.
4H. Provider Fitness for Services
Providers must be physically and mentally capable of safely handling animals during services.
Providers must not perform services while:
●​ impaired by alcohol or drugs​
●​ experiencing medical conditions that impair judgment​
●​ otherwise unable to safely supervise animals​
Failure to meet these expectations may result in account suspension.
4I. Property Damage
Pets may occasionally cause property damage during services.
Pet Owners remain responsible for damages caused by their animals unless otherwise required
by law.
TiriVelo is not responsible for property damage arising from interactions between users.
5. Equipment & Safety Gear
Providers must ensure appropriate safety equipment is used during services.
Recommended equipment may include:
●​ secure leash or harness
●​ weather-appropriate protective gear
●​ identification tags or collars
●​ waste disposal materials
Owners remain responsible for providing properly fitted equipment unless otherwise agreed.
Providers must not use equipment that may reasonably cause harm to the animal.
6. Public Safety & Community
Responsibility
Providers must operate responsibly in public spaces.
Providers must:
●​ follow local leash laws
●​ maintain control of pets in public
●​ avoid confrontations with other animals
●​ prevent pets from harassing people or animals
Providers must exercise heightened caution when handling multiple pets simultaneously.
Providers must comply with all local animal control laws and public safety regulations .
7. Environmental & Weather Safety
Providers must monitor environmental conditions that could affect animal safety.
Services should be modified or discontinued if conditions pose risks, including:
●​ extreme heat
●​ severe cold
●​ dangerous weather conditions
●​ unsafe ground conditions
Providers must adjust service duration or route when necessary to protect the animal.
Owners are encouraged to communicate any temperature sensitivities or environmental risks
specific to their pet.
8. Medical Emergencies
If a pet becomes injured, ill, or distressed during a service, the Provider must:
1.​ Attempt to contact the Owner immediately.
2.​ Follow emergency care instructions provided by the Owner.
3.​ Seek appropriate veterinary care if necessary to protect the pet’s health.
If the Owner cannot be reached, the Provider may take reasonable steps to obtain veterinary
assistance.
Veterinary costs incurred during services are typically the responsibility of the Pet Owner unless
otherwise required by law.
Providers must notify TiriVelo of serious incidents as soon as reasonably possible.
Providers must prioritize the safety of the animal and seek professional veterinary assistance
when reasonably necessary to prevent further harm.
9. Lost Pet Procedures
If a pet becomes lost during a service, the Provider must:
●​ immediately attempt to locate the animal
●​ notify the Owner as soon as possible
●​ notify TiriVelo support
●​ contact local animal control or shelters where appropriate
Providers must cooperate fully with recovery efforts and provide accurate documentation of
events.
Lost pet incidents may trigger a safety review.
10. Aggressive Animal Incidents
If a pet displays aggressive behavior during a service, Providers should:
●​ prioritize personal safety
●​ avoid escalation
●​ safely disengage from the situation
●​ notify the Owner immediately
If an injury occurs, medical attention should be sought immediately.
Aggressive behavior incidents may result in account review.
11. Incident Reporting
Serious safety incidents must be reported to TiriVelo as soon as possible.
Reportable incidents include:
●​ pet injury or illness
●​ lost pets
●​ bites or attacks
●​ property damage
●​ veterinary emergencies
●​ unsafe service conditions
Providers may be required to submit documentation including:
●​ incident descriptions
●​ photos if available
●​ communication logs
●​ veterinary documentation
TiriVelo may conduct internal investigations when incidents occur.
12. Safety Investigations
If a safety incident is reported, TiriVelo may:
●​ temporarily suspend accounts
●​ freeze payouts related to the booking
●​ review Care Reports and communication records
●​ request additional documentation
These actions may be taken without prior notice if safety risks are present.
Accounts may be restored following investigation at TiriVelo’s discretion.
12A. Incident Severity Categories
Safety incidents may be classified by severity.
Examples include:
Minor incidents​
• minor injuries​
• behavioral concerns
Moderate incidents​
• lost pet incidents​
• veterinary visits
Severe incidents​
• pet death​
• serious injury​
• attacks on humans or animals
TiriVelo may apply different investigation procedures depending on incident severity.
13. Prohibited Animal Handling Practices
Providers must not:
●​ use excessive force
●​ physically discipline animals
●​ administer medication without Owner authorization
●​ transport pets without permission
●​ place pets in dangerous situations
Violations may result in immediate platform removal.
14. Documentation & Recordkeeping
Providers must maintain accurate service documentation when required.
Documentation may include:
●​ Care Reports
●​ incident reports
●​ communication with Owners
Accurate records assist in dispute resolution and safety reviews.
Providing false or misleading information may result in account termination.
15. Platform Safety Monitoring
TiriVelo may monitor safety indicators through:
●​ service documentation
●​ reliability metrics
●​ incident reports
●​ user feedback
Accounts may be reviewed if safety concerns are detected.
Repeated safety violations may result in permanent removal.
16. Platform Role & Limitations
TiriVelo provides a technology platform connecting Owners and Providers.
TiriVelo:
●​ does not supervise services
●​ does not control how Providers perform services
●​ does not guarantee service outcomes
Providers remain responsible for their own conduct and service practices.
Owners remain responsible for providing accurate pet information.
17. Changes to Safety Standards
TiriVelo may update these Safety & Welfare Standards periodically.
Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated standards.
